The Homecoming

A lot has happened since my last post...most importantly...

LAMAR CAME HOME!!

He arrived in California first, and I was able to fly down and see him arrive there. A few days later was the big return to Utah, when Lamar saw the boys again for the first time. It was such an exciting and amazing day. Miles caught sight of Lamar as he was walking up to us and he took off running towards him and Lamar scooped him up and gave him a big hug. Then Lamar took his little Nico and held him and kissed him. Lamar was also greeted by some family members that were able to come out and welcome him home.

Nico has learned a new little trick. He loves to clap his hands!

Also new with Nico - he has started to crawl a little. He is not going full speed yet, but he is able to take a few small crawls at a time. He has also started to be a really good little eater..yay!!

Lamar sent me these pictures yesterday. He took most of them for Miles, who loves to hear about all the spiders, snakes, lizards, scorpions, and all other critters in Afghanistan.

Special Visitors

We were able to have Nana and Gramps over for dinner, who made a stop on their way back to Washington. The boys had so much fun playing with a couple of their great grandparents. Thanks for the visit Nana and Gramps!

All the way from Afghanistan...

We had a fun delivery show up at our house recently. A huge container full of some of Lamar's gear. Very exciting - he's starting to ship some of his stuff home! Now he just needs to ship HIMSELF home...

I've decided my baby is growing up waaayyy too fast. He has so many teeth  - six so far. (4 on top, 2 on bottom) Look at those chompers!
